FAMILY ADVOCATES
Family Advocates are on staff to provide parent resources and work with families from the time of enrollment until their child transitions from the program at age 3. Individual and family goal setting helps families chart a course and, using family support services, learn how to access community services that will help you achieve self-sufficiency. Family engagement activities take place at each center and range from parent meetings to programs about finances, home ownership and parenting skills.

THE TINY LIBRARY PROJECT
Have you ever spotted a Free Little Library in the community? Building on the momentum of this program, Kids Incorporated of the Big Bend is creating its very own “Tiny Library” project.
Similar to the Little Free Library’s, “Give a Book, Take a Book” format, our Tiny Libraries will focus on the community’s youngest children with books appropriate for children ages 0-3. To serve the entire community, there will also be a section available for siblings, moms, and dads.
In addition to the free lending library portion, there will be a donation box that will allow for the collection of children’s books, ensuring that Kids Incorporated can continue to keep the libraries well stocked and ready to serve the community.
We believe the “Tiny Library” project will be an outstanding way to promote early literacy in the lives of the children and families in the community. Donations of new or lightly used children’s books can be made at any of our locations.
