Since 1972, Kids Incorporated of the Big Bend has nurtured young children across Leon, Jefferson and Madison counties, serving expectant parents and children from birth to age 3 through Early Head Start programs. Today, Kids Incorporated is expanding its mission to meet the growing early learning needs of the community by offering high-quality, fee-for-service programming for 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds through the newly launched Three & Pre Program at the Budd Bell Early Learning Center in Tallahassee.
This new program responds to a real crisis in Tallahassee’s community. The shortage of childcare slots is not just a statistic—it’s a daily struggle for families trying to balance work, Tallahassee faces a significant shortage of childcare options, making it challenging for families to balance work, education and home life. By opening classrooms for 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds, Kids Inc. is expanding access to high-quality early learning in a safe and nurturing environment. The Three & Pre Program provides stability, keeping children in familiar classrooms with trusted caregivers and developmentally appropriate resources. This approach helps children thrive academically and socially while giving families confidence that their child’s care continues seamlessly.
